Calculate My Rate, LLC ("Calculate My Rate," "we," "us," or "our") runs calculatemyrate.com and related pages such as guides.calculatemyrate.com (together, the "Site"). We're an independent homebuyer education platform. We are not a mortgage lender, broker, or loan originator, and nothing on the Site is a loan offer.

This policy explains how we handle information when you visit the Site, use our calculators, download our guides, buy from our shop, or contact us.

Information you give us

• Contact form: your name, email address, and the question or message you send.
• Email updates (if you sign up): your email address and, optionally, your first name.
• Purchases (if you buy from our shop): your name, email, billing details, and order history. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.
• Anything else you choose to send us, such as an email reply or feedback.

Calculator inputs

When you enter a home price, credit score range, down payment, or similar numbers into a calculator, the math runs in your browser. We don't save those inputs to our servers or connect them to your identity. Our analytics may record that a calculator was used (for example, "the PMI calculator was opened"), but not the personal financial figures you typed.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we and our analytics providers automatically receive certain technical information when you visit, such as:

• Device and browser type, operating system, and screen size
• Approximate location (city/region level) based on IP address
• Pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, and the site that referred you
• Date and time of your visit

• Netlify (to host the Site and our downloadable guides, and to receive contact form submissions)
• Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads (to understand site usage and measure advertising)
• Email service provider (to send email updates you asked for)
• Payment processor (to process shop orders securely)

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a business transfer (for example, if Calculate My Rate is merged or acquired), in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

We use cookies for basic site functions, analytics, and advertising measurement. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or the tools listed in our Cookie Policy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on and manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.

Global Privacy Control: If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any targeted advertising or "sharing" of your information for advertising purposes.

• Contact messages: up to 2 years after our last exchange, then deleted
• Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you
• Order records: as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally up to 7 years)
• Analytics data: according to our analytics settings, generally no longer than 14 months

No matter where you live, you can ask us to:

• Access the personal information we have about you
• Correct anything that's inaccurate
• Delete your information
• Stop email updates (use the unsubscribe link in any email, or just ask)

Email contact@calculatemyrate.com with your request. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we'll respond within 45 days. We will never treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.

Residents of certain states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and others with consumer privacy laws, may have additional rights, such as the right to know the categories of information collected, to opt out of targeted advertising, and to appeal a decision we make about a request. To use these rights, contact us at the email above. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our response with "Appeal" in the subject line.

In the past 12 months, we have collected identifiers (such as name and email), commercial information (such as order history), and internet activity information (such as pages viewed). We have not sold personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and reputable service providers, to protect your information. No website can guarantee perfect security, so please don't send sensitive information like Social Security numbers, account numbers, or loan documents through our contact form or email.

SECTION · 10Children's privacy

The Site is meant for adults planning a home purchase or refinance. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

We link to outside resources like government agencies and Fannie Mae's published pricing information. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we aren't responsible for them. We encourage you to review their policies.

SECTION · 12Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
